Justin Osmond, the 2nd son of Merrill & Mary Osmond was born with a profound sensorial-neural hearing loss. Diagnosed at the age of 2, he finally heard lifes precious sounds for the first time.
After 12 years of intense speech and listening therapy, Justin can now speak with passion and hear with conviction while motivating and encouraging others with hearing impairments to achieve their dreams.
Justins journey to better hearing had many obstacles and challenges that represented stumbling blocks, despair and lack of hope. But his will-power, determination, desire, and hope surpassed all hurdles that stood in his way.
Despite the inevitable, and with a 90% hearing loss, he went on to play the violin, viola, piano, and drums. Justins received numerous awards such as the prestigious Sterling scholarship in music, academic scholarships, honorary achievements, and many athletic titles in soccer, football, basketball, and track.
He is also proud to represent the Boy Scouts of America as an Eagle Scout and he currently has his Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
Justin launched the Olive Osmond Perpetual Hearing Fund in 2010, in honor of his late grandmother Olive. The Olive Osmond Perpetual Hearing Fund focuses on bringing the gift of better hearing to hundreds of children living with hearing impairments domestically and globally, while raising deaf awareness and promoting hearing educational services.
Justin knows first-hand what it is like to live in a world without sound. In his recently published book "Hearing with my Heart" he shares his story with the world in order to help all people understand the struggles of being hearing impaired and how to overcome them. He lives every day by his personal motto: I may have a hearing loss, but that hearing loss does not have me.
With the help of so many generous people and sponsors, Justin has been able to help raise awareness and bless the lives of thousands through the Olive Osmond Perpetual Hearing Fund. Justin also spent over 11 years traveling the world with the Starkey Hearing Foundation helping tens of thousands of people hear life's precious sounds.

Justin Osmond, the 2nd son of Merrill Osmond,
was born with 90% hearing loss, the same severe
profound hearing loss from which his uncles Virl
and Tom suffered. Justin was very close to his
grandmother Olive and loved hearing her stories
about helping other children who were deaf. Sensing her determination to aid those living with a hearing loss, Justin dedicated himself to continue her passion in building her dream to greater heights.
"On January 23, 2003, I visited my Osmond grandparents in their home in Ephraim, Utah. They greeted me warmly, and I settled down to have a heartfelt talk with them. The conversation turned serious, and the words my grandmother Olive spoke stirred my soul like never before. I didn’t know it was to be my last visit before my grandmother died. I did take the time to write down some of her thoughts/feelings/words."
"Olive Osmond had a dream to one day have a foundation that would donate all their time and resources to help the deaf. Her sons Virl and Tom have sacrificed many things in this life without the gift of hearing. She mentioned that with my distinctive hearing loss, I would be able to help, assist and lead the way to provide many men, women, and children with better hearing due to the advanced technology available and the generosity of many. I remember hearing my grandparents discuss for hours how in a coming day her beloved sons– as well as the deaf community– would be blessed. She stressed the importance of staying dedicated to the task and focus on leading the work that the original dream of the Osmond Foundation was set up to do. Then I remember her words, “Don’t ever give up on your dream. There are thousands of souls depending on those dreams.”"
Motivated by his unconditional love for his grandmother, Justin established the Olive Osmond Perpetual Hearing Fund. This is an opportunity to re-establish Olive's original dream to raise deaf awareness and promote hearing educational services by providing others with the gift of better hearing. Through the help of your generosity and support, this project will extend the proceeds to sponsor children in across the world in honor of Mother Osmond.
The Olive Osmond Perpetual Hearing Fund's Mission:
To raise deaf awareness and promote hearing educational services by providing others with the “Gift of Better Hearing.” The OOPHF’s mission is to donate its time and resources to assist the deaf and lead the way to help thousands of men, women and children worldwide so they will have a chance at tomorrow and reach their greatest dreams and aspirations in life.

You will be inspired by Justin and his undying ability to be optimistic, determined, and successful."

"Justin's story is truly inspiring. Discovering what he accomplished with all the challenges he faced in his life made me realize that none of us have to limit ourselves. The next time I hear someone complain that they can't reach their goals I'm going to hand them a copy of this book."
